Shanta Sundari Devi Dasi

Once I was on parikrama and gurumaharaj was distributing some maha water. He announced that those who want Krishna prem should come forward and accept the water. I was waiting for my turn and when my turn came gurumaharaj asked me if I want guru bhakti or Krishna prem? I answered guru bhakti and maharaj poured some water on my palm. Later on when I came to Chennai I got the service to cook for HH Bhanu Swami and all visiting sanyasis. I take it as a symbol of the guru bhakti which has come to me only because of the mercy of Srila Gurudev.

I was undergoing through some tough time in my life when I wanted to get initiated. Both my family and temple management were not ready for it. I was very depressed. Once gurumaharaj came in my dreams. He came to my house and I saw that I fed him nice prasadam. After honouring prasadam he went in the backside courtyard of my house to wash hands. When he didn’t returned for sometime I went behind to check and found him emptying a barrel filled with dirty water. I was very shocked and requested him not to do so. I gave him some water and dettol to clean his hands. This dream stayed in my mind even after I woke up. Later on after few days I got initiated. One devotee explained me that gurumaharaj was not cleaning the barrel of dirty water but he was cleaning my heart!
